Shri Parm Sunil Singh, the proactive Sarpanch of Dhianpur village in Gurdaspur District of Punjab is one of the first to have initiated a liquid waste management project in his village. The project has led to generation of employment and overall cleanliness of the village while contributing to better health of the community.
The compressed biogas (CBG) plant situated in Nauranagbad village, Gandikhata of Haridwar District in Uttarakhand is a successful business model that other gaushalas (cow shelters) in the region can replicate. It is managed by Shri Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha and Golok Dham Seva Samiti.

More than 8000 discarded plastic bottles of the one litre and 500 ml drinking water variety have been used in the construction of a public toilet in Bongaigaon District of Assam. To enhance the appearance of the public utility, soft drink pet bottles and bottle caps have been used for embellishment.
