Under the Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen, a Central Government Scheme, Barabanki has transformed enormously during the past few years. The progress is seen in its open defecation free (ODF) status, provision of clean drinking water for all the households, general village cleanliness and school toilets.
To generate massive mobilisation of citizens in rural areas and create mass awareness on ODF Plus as well as its solid and liquid waste management centric components, the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS) under Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen Phase II has launched a National Film Competition on ODF Plus.
