Dindigul cops join the JSA bandwagon
In a seemingly rare occurrence, the police force of Dindigul, led by the Superintendent of Police, Mr. Sakthivel desilted a pond, winning the hearts and appreciation of the public in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
Given that surface water and ground water are an integral part of the water cycle, a need was felt to institute unified National Water Awards with the objective of encouraging stakeholders to adopt a holistic approach towards water resource management in the country. After the successful implementation of National Water Award 2018, the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti is organising National Water Awards 2019.
